The Man Responsible For The World’s Best Hotel

The best hotel in the world resides in a place that few have even heard of: the Nihi Sumba Island. Nihi is owned by Chris Burch, founder, and co-founder of several international retail companies. After teaming with hotel expert James McBride, Burch was able to renovate the Nihi beach hotel on the Indonesian island for approximately 30 million dollars. Burch says that he primarily bought the hotel for his children as a way of giving back to the community.

Nihi is an Indonesian island on the west coast of Sumba. The name itself means “mortar store” as it was named after a rock landscape. The Nihi Sumba Island serves more than just a paradise for wealthy individuals. In fact, a substantial amount of profit made by the hotel is given to the Sumba Foundation to help local community projects. Click on wingsjournal.com for additional article.

The Nihi Sumba Island is also home to Burch’s private home named Raja Mendaka. Much like the hotel, it is available to guests. Visitors to the island are able to enjoy the grandiose views of the Indian Ocean, as well as the clear water comparable to that of the Maldives.

The creator of the world’s best hotel has a successful career in his own rights. After graduating from Ithaca College as a business major from 1972 to 1976, he was able to sell his clothing apparel to make himself a multimillionaire. Later, he founded his own company named Burch Creative Capital, where he currently holds the position of CEO.  Check forbes.com.
